Essar inducts first MiniCape-size vessel into fleet

Essar Shipping Limited (ESL) has taken the delivery of the 105,000DWT MiniCape-size bulk carrier ‘MV Kamlesh’. ‘MV Kamlesh’ is 253 metres long and 43 metres wide.

The efficient, environment friendly vessel is fully compliant with current IMO regulations. She is the first vessel in a series of six vessels that ESL will be taking delivery of into its fleet by mid 2012.

The six modern state-of-the-art vessels built at STX Shipyard are specially designed shallow-draught vessels to allow higher cargo-carrying capacity given the draught conditions of many Indian ports.
